MARTIN GOMES TAGLE

Martin Gomez Tagle was born in Mexico City in 1970. Studied Architecture at La Salle University in Mexico City (special mention on thesis) and at The University of Arizona, U.S.A. Nowadays studying his masters at the Urban Design Laboratory of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Kagoshima University. Member of the International Committee of "Caribbean Architectural Records" in Dominican Republic and the magazine "Arquitectura de Interiores", Mexico. Co-writer with Wan Hui (China) of the article "Read Barragan in Close-up" about Luis Barragan, the Mexican architect behind his architecture. He collaborated with Carlos Garcia-Velez, at GEO Corporation (1996-2001), on the design of several housing projects in Mexico, Chile and U.S.A. The housing complex, "Ciudad Placido Domingo" in Acapulco, Gro., was built in 2001 and won the National Housing Award in 2002. Previous to this (1992-1996), he had collaborated with Javier Sanchez as Project Manager.
