ミュータン旅へ行く（２) Mutan Leaves Home(2)
前作「ミュータン旅へ行く」の続編。今回は、歯周病の原因菌の一つであるメラニゲニクス・サブスペイシャスを
「メラニゲン」と名づけて登場させました。
ミュータンは、村の人に見送られ、長老が教えてくれた谷をめざして旅へ出かけました。
あたりはすっかり暗くなっていました。たくさんの怪物が、わになっておどっています。
ミュータンは、しっぽのアンテナで長老に聞いてみました。
すると、人間の歯ぐきを食いつくすメラニゲンだと教えてくれました。
メラニゲンの住みつく洞窟（どうくつ）の、ろうやには、こむしば村の人たちが入れられていました。
ミュータンは知恵をはたらかせ、村の人たちを助けました。
魔法のかばんから取り出した歯みがきチューブで眠り込んでいるメラニゲンにぬりつけました。
しばらくすると、「ねる前も、ちゃんと歯をみがきなさい！」キンキン声が、こだまのようにひびいてきました。
メラニゲンは電しんばしらのような歯ブラシに巻かれていきました。
As his mother and friends and neighbors waved goodbye, Mutan set out on
his journey.
He walked and walked, looking for a valley that his grandfather told him about.
At the far end of the valley, he could sea a small light flickering.
Mutan went closer, and saw a lot of black things dancing around a bonfire.
Mutan decided to ask his grandfather, using the radio antenna in his tail.
Grandfather thought him that those things are called Melanigens, and they're really evil, and they eat into people's gums. Mutan crept into the hole where the Meranigens lived. Mutan came to the Meranigens' jail.
He looked inside and found, to his surprise, that it was full of people from Cavity Village!
Mutan opened his backpack again. He took out some tubes of toothpaste and passed them around.
Quickly and quickly, Mutan and his friends spread toothpaste on the sleeping Meranigens! Suddenly,
BRUSH YOUR TEETH BEFORE YOU GO TO BED! BE SURE TO GET THEM CLEAN AROUND THE GUMS, TOO!
The monster toothbrush swept them all away.
